The Assistant
Round Table Commissioners and I look forward to seeing
all Boy Scout Uniformed Leaders, Committee Members and
interested Parents the first Thursday of each month at
the South West Church of Christ at 5340 Courthouse,
Chesterfield, VA 23832 for the Arrohattoc Boy Scout
Round Table. At 7-7:30, we have a skills-related
pre-opening based on the national monthly Boy Scout
themes. At 7:30-8:30 are the concurrent main program,
committee training sessions, and safety training
sessions (see 2011-2012 Boy Scout Round Table Schedule).
Cracker Barrel will be hosted by rotating Cub Scout, Boy
Scout and Venture units each month.
The main theme
program is meant to assist uniform leaders and parents.
The committee training program will start with the
on-line "Committee Challenge" materials and go far, far
deeper. The safety training sessions
We have a great
schedule of events planned based on feedback from
leaders like yourself. Each month after Round Table, a
summary of the main program, flyers and other
announcements will be sent out by email and posted to
that month's folder on the District Website. Do not let
the electronic communication be a substitute for the
value added from attending and contributing to Round
Table. In addition to learning from outside contributors
and other scout leaders, we also are encouraging Scouts
to attend and to not only contribute, but to also help
lead discussions of many topics.
Round Table also
provides you with an opportunity to meet with your Unit
Commissioner, the District's Key 3 (District Executive,
District Commissioner and District President), and many
other Scout Leaders.
